If you knew someone in the UK was able to successfully stop baby colic every time, you might assume research has been done, then tests carried out until it was established just what causes colic, followed by the production of a speedy cure.
This hasn't happened as far as I know. Although a lot of research is carried out, baby colic probably has to take a back seat. The research is most likely in order to find cures for serious or very painful illnesses.
Colic in newborn babies isn't serious. It's painful and distressing for the time it lasts, which is often 3 months although it can be 5 or even 6 months. Thankfully it's quite rare for it to last much past 3 months. That's more than enough for the crying baby!

It's clear to me that she's very happy to be able to help colicky babies and she's full of gratitude to the nutritionist/dietician in the States who enabled her to do this.
We talked about it and thought it would be nice put the cure on the internet where it could help a lot more colicky babies.
We realised some parents would have trouble believing this is a real cure but once she made up her mind she was determined to put up a website and help as many babies as she could.
Then we discussed having a physical product for sale in retail outlets and we tried to think of all possible problems she might encounter. I got tired just in the discussion stage but I have to admit it was lovely knowing just what we were trying to accomplish. A readily available and effective baby colic cure!
She had a series of setbacks and more than a few technical mysteries to be solved. There was so much she needed to learn about website building and her own blog became another 'must have' so parents could leave comments. So much to do. Seemingly our plan wasn't such a good idea and we ought to think again.
